America Online is a digital media company that built and operates a number of online businesses including websites, a search engine, Internet connectivity, email service and more.
It is an American company that was founded in 1983 as Control Video Corporation, then in 1985 as Quantum Computer Services, and in 1991 as America Online. In 2009, America Online was officially renamed AOL.
